Finite Length Analysis of Irregular Repetition Slotted ALOHA in the Waterfall Region [PDF]
A finite length analysis is introduced for irregular repetition slotted ALOHA (IRSA) that enables to accurately estimate its performance in the moderate-to-high packet loss probability regime, i.e., in the so-called waterfall region.

Spatially-Coupled Random Access on Graphs [PDF]
In this paper we investigate the effect of spatial coupling applied to the recently-proposed coded slotted ALOHA (CSA) random access protocol. Thanks to the bridge between the graphical model describing the iterative interference cancelation process of ...

Containing epidemic outbreaks by message-passing techniques [PDF]
The problem of targeted network immunization can be defined as the one of finding a subset of nodes in a network to immunize or vaccinate in order to minimize a tradeoff between the cost of vaccination and the final (stationary) expected infection under ...

Modelling epidemics on d-cliqued graphs
Since social interactions have been shown to lead to symmetric clusters, we propose here that symmetries play a key role in epidemic modelling. Mathematical models on d-ary tree graphs were recently shown to be particularly effective for modelling ...

Convergence Speed of the Consensus Algorithm with Interference and Sparse Long-Range Connectivity
We analyze the effect of interference on the convergence rate of average consensus algorithms, which iteratively compute the measurement average by message passing among nodes.

Modeling Fault Propagation Paths in Power Systems: A New Framework Based on Event SNP Systems With Neurotransmitter Concentration [PDF]
To reveal fault propagation paths is one of the most critical studies for the analysis of power system security; however, it is rather dif cult. This paper proposes a new framework for the fault propagation path modeling method of power systems based ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Static and dynamic properties of small-world connection topologies based on transit-stub networks [PDF]
Many real complex networks are believed to belong to a class called small-world (SW) networks. SW networks are graphs with high local clustering and small distances between nodes. A standard approach to constructing SW networks consists of varying the

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Boundary Value Problems on a Star Thermal Graph and their Solutions
In this study, heat conductivity boundary value problems on a star graph are considered, inspired by engineering applications, e.g., heat conduction phenomena in mesh-like structures.
