Power Switching Protocol for Two-way Relaying Network under Hardware Impairments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we analyze the impact of hardware impairments at relay node and source node (i.e. imperfect nodes) on network performance by evaluating outage probability based on the effective signal to noise and distortion ratio (SNDR).

Beam interference suppression in multi-cell millimeter wave communications

open access: yesDigital Communications and Networks, 2019
Due to the increase in the number of users, beam switching is used for suppressing interference, which leads to higher computational complexity in multi-cell millimeter wave communications.

Improved sensitivity analysis method and decision error discussion for limiting short-circuit current of power grid

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
This study mainly focuses on the method of limiting short-circuit current of a power grid by partial transmission switching. The restrictive effect of short-circuit current and the integrality of the power grid should be considered before the choosing ...

Failure Localization in Power Systems via Tree Partitions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Cascading failures in power systems propagate non-locally, making the control and mitigation of outages extremely hard. In this work, we use the emerging concept of the tree partition of transmission networks to provide an analytical characterization of ...

Manipulating Chiral Transmission by Gate Geometry: Switching in Graphene with Transmission Gaps [PDF]

open access: yesACS Nano, 2013
We explore the chiral transmission of electrons across graphene heterojunctions for electronic switching using gate geometry alone. A sequence of gates is used to collimate and orthogonalize the chiral transmission lobes across multiple junctions, resulting in negligible overall current.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
