Analog Switching in Hexagonal Boron Nitride Memristors via Multiple Nano‐Filaments Confinement

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Hexagonal boron nitride memristors with suspended structures over GaN nano‐cones enable linear and symmetric analog switching through multiple nano‐filament confinement, overcoming challenges from abrupt switching. This work demonstrates reliable synaptic weight updates for artificial neural networks, with high classification accuracy in MNIST tasks ...

TiO2 Nanohelices Decorated with Homogeneous Au‐Core Pd‐Shell Nanocatalysts for Selective Toluene Gas Detection

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Homogeneous composition of Au@Pd nanocatalysts decorated on TiO2 nanohelices enable ppb‐level toluene detection with exceptional selectivity. Au@Pd nanocatalysts serve as critical active sites for the complete and rapid oxidation of toluene, and the site‐specific toluene oxidation mechanism is unveiled through synergistic DFT modeling and in situ ...

Efficient Electrochemical CO2 Reduction Using AgN3 Single‐Atom Sites Embedded in Free‐Standing Electrodes for Flow Cell Applications

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
This graphical abstract illustrates the performance of a free‐standing Ag single‐atom catalyst (Ag SAC) electrode designed for CO2 reduction in a bicarbonate electrolyzer. Compared to Ag nanoparticles and Ag SAC‐free electrodes, the Ag SAC electrode exhibits superior activity and significantly higher CO production with excellent Faradaic efficiency at ...

Noble Metals Doping in Lead‐Free Double Perovskite Single Crystals: Achieving Near‐Infrared to X‐ray Broadband Photodetection

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
This study examines the doping of Cs2AgBiBr6 double perovskite with noble metals (Au3+, Pd2+, and Ir3+). Significant redshifts in the absorption edge enable broadband photodetection from X‐rays to NIR, without abrupt changes in crystal structure. Au doping notably also enhances X‐ray sensitivity.

Time‐Resolved Intrinsic and Extrinsic Photoresponse of Colloidal Short‐Wavelength Infrared‐Active Indium Antimonide Quantum Dot Photodetectors

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
The authors report chlorine (Cl) surface engineering of colloidal indium antimonide (InSb) quantum dots (QDs), which are active at 1560 nm, and an investigation of the intrinsic and extrinsic photoresponse time (τIn and tEx) of InSb‐Cl QD photodetectors. Asynchronous optical sampling (ASOPS) is demonstrated to study τIn.
