Dynamic Response of Conductor Breakage for Oxytropis Transmission Tower-Line System
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2010Dynamic response of conductor breakage is analyzed on guyed oxytropis transmission tower-line system of 500KV 5291 JinJiang-Zhenjiang lines. Considering unbalanced tension, finite element method is presented. Result of the transient analysis shows that the vibration of tower-line system happens after conductor breakage.

Seismic responses of transmission tower-line system under multi-component ground motions
Advances in Structural Engineering, 2023In this study, shaking table tests, theoretical research, and finite element modeling analysis were conducted on seismic responses of a transmission tower-line system under multi-component ground motions. The rocking component of ground motion was determined from the original seismic record by the wavelet analysis.

Dynamic Behavior of Transmission Tower-Line Systems Subjected to Insulator Breakage
International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics, 2018Ice loads attached to a transmission tower-line system can not only increase the vertical loads on the insulators, but also cause flashover to occur more easily. Both effects can lead to an increased probability of insulator breakage. In this paper, a finite-element model of a transmission tower-line system with three towers and four span lines under ...

The simulation of progressive collapse of a power transmission tower-line system subjected to extremely strong earthquakes is studied in this paper. A three-dimensional finite element model is established for the coupled system that combines three towers and four span lines based on a practical project.

Numerical simulation on de-icing method for coupled transmission tower-line system
2011 International Conference on Multimedia Technology, 2011For the disaster brought by the transmission line regelation, a new de-icing method is presented in this paper. It is supposed that the ice and transmission line are combined closely when there is no external loads, the composite structure of ice-transmission line is set up with the finite element analysis software SAP2000, the 500KV cat-head tower ...

Wind-Induced Progressive Collapsed Performance of Cup-Type Transmission Tower-Line System
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013The Cup-type transmission tower-line system was a classic representative of high voltage electric power carrier, which was an important lifeline project. However, it frequently collapsed under different environmental loadings, especially strong wind. In this work, four tower five line finite element models simulated wind-induced progressive collapse ...

Analysis on Wind-Induced Vibration Dynamic Responses of Transmission Tower-Line System
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013Tower-line system of overhead transmission line are sensitive to wind. Therefore, dynamic effect of wind load should be taken into consideration, for instance, wind-induced vibration coefficient. There might be some errors in the calculation of the coefficient in accordance with ‘Load code for the design of building structures’, for its ignoring the ...

Wind-Induced Response of UHV Guyed Single-Mast Transmission Tower-Line System
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014Ultra-high voltage guyed tower is typical structure of tall and slender, with the character of nonlinear and more sensitive to wind loads. Wind load is one of the most important control loads during design phase. A single-mast guyed tower recommended by a UHV DC transmission line was set as an example in this paper.

Seismic Behaviour Analysis of Long Crossing Transmission Tower and Tower-Line System
2010 International Conference on Intelligent System Design and Engineering Application, 2010Dynamic characteristics and seismic response of long crossing transmission single tower and tower-line system were systematically studied by time-history analysis method. The different dynamic characteristics between the long crossing transmission single tower and tower-line system have been found and come up with some feasible suggestions.
