Transmission resonances and zeros in multiband models

Physical Review B, 1995
We report on an efficient numerical technique for directly locating transmission resonances and zeros in semiconductor heterostructures using tight-binding multiband models. The quantum transmitting boundary method is employed to generate the inverse of the retarded Green's function ${\mathit{G}}^{\mathit{R}}$(E) in the tight-binding representation ...

JAMA Surgery, 2016
Getting to Zero Transmission of ERCP Infections To the EditorWe read with interest the Viewpoint by Keswani and Soper1 and wish to comment on it. In March, the American Gastroenterological Association held a meeting, “Getting toZero,”whichcoveredmanyoftheendoscopicretrogradecholangiopancreatography (ERCP) infection issues discussed.2-4 We are concerned

Compact implementation of transmission zeros using the zero shifting property

2004 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37535), 2004
In this contribution we propose a structure for the implementation of transmission zeros using the zero shifting property. In previous implementations, two open loop resonators operating at different resonances were employed. In the configuration, one of the open loop resonators is substituted by a short-circuited transmission line, thus resulting into

Data transmission filters with forced zeros

IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2003
A description is given of the design of realizable analog data transmission filters which have as many intersymbol interference values as possible forced to zero. They possess good selectivity in the frequency domain. Their most remarkable property, however, is their simple design, the poles and zeros being given in closed form.

Transmission Zero Controlled Wideband Bandpass FSS

2019 IEEE Indian Conference on Antennas and Propogation (InCAP), 2019
In this paper, a method to interpret the transmission zero frequencies (fzs) in the stopband of a bandpass frequency selective surfaces (FSS) is presented. It is established that f z s depends on the surface current distribution on the FSS screen and is governed by the length of the FSS element on which the current density is stronger.

Synthesis of an LC Zero Section for Quadruplet Transmission Zeros

IEEE Transactions on Circuit Theory, 1964
In a classic paper by Guillemin,[ E. A. Guillemin, "New methods of driving-point and transfer impedance synthesis," Proc. of Symp. on Modern Network Synthesis, Polytechnic Inst. of Brooklyn, N. Y., vol. 5, p. 119; 1955.] the synthesis of a dissipationless LC "zero-section" filter which has quadruplet zeros of transmission was demonstrated.

Direct computation of infinite transmission zeros

Proceedings of 1995 American Control Conference - ACC'95, 2005
Presents an algorithm for the computation of infinite transmission zeros of square multivariable linear time-invariant systems. The algorithm is computationally fast and efficient since operations are only carried out on the system transfer function matrix, which usually has small size compared to the system's order, and has stable numerical behavior ...

Hairpin filters with tunable transmission zeros

2001 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Sympsoium Digest (Cat. No.01CH37157), 2002
In the previous work, it was found that filter designed with 0/spl deg/ feed structure could have two extra transmission zeros in the stopband. In this paper, a method for tuning the frequencies of these two transmission zeros using impedance transformers is proposed.

Bipolar Pulse Transmission with Zero Extraction

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1969
A family of pulse transmission plans, suitable for wire pair or coaxial repeatered lines is described. In these plans alternate pulses are inverted before transmission, and blocks of n successive spaces are replaced by distinctive patterns. The resulting pulse stream has no dc component and a minimum pulse density of 1/n .
