dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Massive MIMO Beamforming With Transmit Diversity for High Mobility Wireless Communications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Providing stable and fast data transmission service is challenging in a high mobility wireless communication system, where massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) beamforming is deemed as a potential solution.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Performance of multiple amplitudes differential space-time block coding scheme concatenated with channel coding

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2007
By introducing multiple levels quadrature amplitude modulation and matrix transform method,a multiple am-plitudes differential space-time coding(DSTC) scheme was developed. The scheme can avoid the performance loss of conventional DSTC schemes based on ...

Theoretical Design of Mimo Transceiver and Implementation Its Transmitter Using Fpga

open access: yesDiyala Journal of Engineering Sciences, 2014
The use of multiple transmit and receive antennas (MIMO system) is widely accepted in recent years, as a promising technology for future wireless communication, to achieve higher data rates independently of transmission power and bandwidth, with improve

Full-Rate, Full-Diversity, Finite Feedback Space-Time Schemes with Minimum Feedback and Transmission Duration

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper a MIMO quasi static block fading channel with finite N-ary delay-free, noise-free feedback is considered. The transmitter uses a set of N Space-Time Block Codes (STBCs), one corresponding to each of the N possible feedback values, to encode

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Novel Feedback Calculation Technique for Improved Transmit Scheme [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Extended balanced space-time block coding (EBSTBC) is able to achieve large coding gain and guarantee full diversity for any number of transmit antennas. Performance of the EBSTBC has been improved with improved transmit scheme (ITS) which is combination
