Many current rapid transmittance algorithms, specifically the Optical Path Transmittance (OPTRAN), are based on use of effective transmittances to account for the effects of polychromatic radiation on the transmittance calculations. We document how OPTRAN was modified by replacing the effective transmittance concept with a correction term.

1978In the last few years, many materials have been proposed as neurotransmitters and await rigorous evaluation of their qualifications. In this chapter we will discuss briefly some of the amino acids and amines which are possible candidates, just as in Chapter 10 we considered peptides which are presently being studied from this point of view.
