ABSTRACT Microtubules play essential roles in numerous cellular processes. All microtubules are built from the protein tubulin, yet individual microtubules can differ spatially and temporally due to their tubulin isotype composition and post‐translational modifications (PTMs).

Some observations of the effects of radial distortions on performance of a transonic rotating blade row [PDF]
A single rotating blade row was tested with two magnitudes of tip radial distortion and two magnitudes of hub radial distortion imposed on the inlet flow.

The present study uses the Modified Mohr‐Coulomb true‐triaxial failure criterion (MMC_TT), which predicts the strength of rock better than the MGC criterion in laboratory true‐triaxial tests to overcome the limitations. Moreover, based on the data from previously published five vertical wells in the Krishna‐Godavari basin (K‐G basin), an empirical ...

Strain‐based modeling and analysis for rock blasting and geomechanics applications
This paper introduces a novel strain‐based modeling approach for blasting and geomechanical applications, using measurable variables like particle velocity, strain, and displacement. By bypassing complex constitutive relations, strain‐based models capture critical blasting trends and full‐blast design parameters with minimal calibration.

INLET FLOW ANALYSIS OF A TRANSONIC COMPRESSOR
The purpose of this study was to accurately determine the inlet flow field characteristics of a transonic compressor rig, as well as develop a method to provide accurate and reliable measurements of upstream throttle setting. In order to properly determine the flow field characteristics in the inlet region, probes were designed to be inserted into the ...

A quiet flow Ludwieg tube for study of transition in compressible boundary layers: Design and feasibility [PDF]
Laminar-turbulent transition in high speed boundary layers is a complicated problem which is still poorly understood, partly because of experimental ambiguities caused by operating in noisy wind tunnels.

Abstract Background Previous experiments inducing leakage of embryonic cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) suggest the necessity of intraventricular CSF pressure (PCSF) for brain morphogenesis. Nevertheless, how embryonic PCSF occurs is unclear, especially in utero. Results Using a Landis water manometer, we measured PCSF in fetal mice isolated from the amniotic
