Microbial influence on the formation and subsequent changes of vertebrate tracks: field experiments on present‐day coastal sediments

ABSTRACT The presence of microbial mats is often invoked to explain the good preservation of vertebrate tracks, because they can cover and biostabilize such structures. However, microbial influence on the sediment properties when the track is made and on the track characteristics has not been so thoroughly analysed.

DETAILED DESIGN OF THE TRANSONIC COMPRESSOR RIG

The research objective of this thesis is to continue the development and design of the upgraded transonic compressor testing rig at the Turbopropulsion Laboratory at NPS. This new testing rig will replace the current pneumatic turbine-driven system that is inefficient and outdated with a state-of-the-art electric motor-driven compressor.

Production of Elastomeric Composites With Different Methods of Incorporating of Graphene Nanoplatelets Into SBR Latex

This study explores scalable methods of incorporating graphene nanoplatelets into SBR latex with or without a surfactant, using either powder or a masterbatch. Results show that combining a masterbatch with the surfactant DTAB improves vulcanization speed, mechanical strength, hardness, thermal conductivity, and resistance to aging.
