A New Method for Rapid Optimization Design of a Subsonic Tandem Blade
Tandem blade technology has been developed for years due to its capacity to bear higher aerodynamics than conventional configurations. Even so, there is still the tough problem of how to design tandem blades effectively and further improve blade ...

Aerostructural Optimization of a Transonic Compressor Rotor [PDF]
This paper presents a framework for multi-objective and multidisciplinary design optimization using highfidelity analysis tools. In this framework the aerodynamic performance is evaluated based on a Navier‐Stokes equation solver, and the structure dynamics is computed using commercially available finite element software.

Numerical Simulation of Transonic Compressors with Different Turbulence Models
One of the most commonly used techniques in aerospace engineering is the RANS (Reynolds average Navier–Stokes) approach for calculating the transonic compressor flow field, where the accuracy of the computation is significantly affected by the turbulence

Test Facility for High-Speed Probe Calibration [PDF]
A new test facility was built up as a part of a closed-loop transonic wind tunnel in VZLU´s High-speed Aerodynamics Department. The wind tunnel is driven by a twelve stage radial compressor and Mach and Reynolds numbers can be changed by the compressor ...

Accurate 2-D Modelling of Transonic Compressor Cascade Aerodynamics
Modern aeronautic fans are characterised by a transonic flow regime near the blade tip. Transonic cascades enable higher pressure ratios by a complex system of shockwaves arising across the blade passage, which has to be correctly reproduced in order to ...
