Application of a multi-level grid method to transonic flow calculations [PDF]

open access: yes
A multi-level grid method was studied as a possible means of accelerating convergence in relaxation calculations for transonic flows. The method employs a hierarchy of grids, ranging from very coarse to fine.

4D‐Printed Magneto‐Plasmonic Microrobots for Programmable Spatiotemporal De‐Icing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 4D‐printing strategy is introduced to achieve programmable de‐icing devices. By aligning gold–magnetite nanofillers within a photosensitive resin, the printed structures exhibit dual magnetic and plasmonic functionalities, enabling precise spatio‐temporal ice removal through thermoplasmonic effects.

ACCELERATED AIRFOIL OPTIMIZATION VIA VIBRATIONAL GENETIC ALGORITHM

open access: yesHavacılık ve Uzay Teknolojileri Dergisi, 2003
Transonic airfoil optimization is made for drag minimisation through shock wave reduction. In this study, a new approach to genetic algorithms, called Vibrational Genetic Algorithm (VGA), is used for transonic airfoil optimization.

Numerical simulation of transonic propeller flow using a 3-dimensional small disturbance code employing novel helical coordinates [PDF]

open access: yes
The numerical simulation of three-dimensional transonic flow about propeller blades is discussed. The equations for the unsteady potential flow about propellers is given for an arbitrary coordinate system.

Photo‐Controlled Antibacterial Drug Release From DASA‐Coated Silica Particles for Improved Treatment of Wound Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Synthesis and characterization of light‐responsive donor–acceptor Stenhouse adducts (DASA)‐coated chlorhexidine‐loaded silica nanoparticles. Such a controllable drug‐delivery system enables the release of the antimicrobial drug on demand and in consecutive cycles, thereby maintaining the concentration within the therapeutic window.

Flow characteristics of ejector nozzles with different auxiliary intake valves

open access: yesAIP Advances
The ejector nozzle requires a third auxiliary airflow to improve its thrust performance at transonic speed. However, different auxiliary air intake structures will affect the third auxiliary flow, which in turn may change its thrust performance and ...

Viscous effects on transonic airfoil stability and response [PDF]

open access: yes
Viscous effects on transonic airfoil stability and response are investigated using an integral boundary layer model coupled to the inviscid XTRAN2L transonic small disturbance code. Unsteady transonic airloads required for stability analyses are computed
