3D Transoral Endoscopic Thyroid.
Surgical technology international, 2023Transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy with vestibular approach (TOETVA) is a feasible new surgical procedure that does not require visible incisions. We describe our experience with three-dimensional (3D) TOETVA. We recruited 98 patients who were willing to undergo 3D TOETVA.

AbstractTransoral robotic surgery (TORS) is a technique used to treat oral, throat, and skull base cancers using a minimally invasive robotic approach through the mouth and throat. The TORS procedure allows deeper access and dissection of suspicious lesions and neoplastic growths in the oral cavity and those that extend from the throat to the base of ...

Transoral Buccinator-Pexy (TBP)
Annals of Plastic Surgery, 2014We describe a novel surgical technique to enhance the aesthetics of the midface by creating malar dimples. Dimples are the natural cheek indentations that become more apparent with facial animation. The aim of this study is to present our technique to create the appearance of these natural indentations using a simple transoral approach and to assess ...

Transoral robotic total laryngectomy
The Laryngoscope, 2013AbstractObjectives/Hypothesis:Minimally invasive surgery has become the standard of care in many organ systems. Head and neck surgery has incorporated transoral surgery, either laser microsurgery or robotic resection, in the management of pharyngeal and laryngeal cancers. To date, the laryngeal procedures have taken the form of partial laryngectomy, as

Transoral robotic surgery for the parapharyngeal space: expanding the transoral corridor
Journal of Robotic Surgery, 2019To analyze the feasibility, surgical outcomes and possible risks and complications encountered during transoral robotic surgery (TORS) for approaching parapharyngeal space (PPS) tumours, a retrospective cohort study was conducted. Out of 108 TORS procedures performed, 5 PPS tumours were identified from May 2011- November 2017.

The transoral approach for odontoidectomy is described in detail, and the operating room setup and surgical positioning are demonstrated. We also discuss our methods of retractor placement and techniques for optimal surgical exposure. The microsurgical technique used for decompression is presented in detail.
