Clinical Features and Dental Pathologies in Maxillary Sinus Fungal Balls and Odontogenic Sinusitis
This international, multicenter study compared clinical and dental characteristics of maxillary sinus fungal balls (MSFB), odontogenic MSFB (MSFBO), and odontogenic sinusitis (ODS). When MSFB and MSFBO were compared, MSFBO was associated with extruded root canal material and dental implant protrusion; when MSFBOs and ODS were compared, ODS was ...

ALT Rescue Flap With Iliac Crest Bone Graft and Spanning Plate for Mandibular ORN
In select patients with focal full‐thickness mandibular ORN defects, the use of ALTFL in conjunction with ICBG and a spanning reconstructive plate appears to offer clinical and radiographic arrest of ORN. This technique has considerably lower morbidity than osteocutaneous reconstruction, with abbreviated hospital stays, a low complication rate, and no ...

Transoral robotic surgery frontiers
AbstractTransoral robotic surgery is a exciting field that continues to develop and push the boundaries of current procedural ability and challenges historical treatment paradigms. With the first use of a surgical robot in 1985, to the first clinical use of the robot transorally in 2005, there was some lag in adoption of robotic techniques in the head ...

Effects of Mesenchymal Stem Cell‐Derived Exosomes on Lung Inflammation in a Murine Aspiration Model
This study assessed the effect of intravenous MSC‐derived exosomes on inflammatory lung injury in a rat model of LPS aspiration. Compared with LPS alone, MSC exosome treatment reduced histologic lung injury overall (significant group effect p = 0.02; linear trend p = 0.006) and significantly lowered Tnf gene expression on qRT‐PCR (p < 0.05).
