Scare Behavior Diffusion Model of Health Food Safety Based on Complex Network

open access: yesComplexity, 2018
This study constructs a heterogeneous model of health food safety scare behavior diffusion through a complex network model by considering health food safety information transparency and health food consumers’ ability to process information.

Striving for transparent and credible research: practical guidelines for behavioral ecologists [PDF]

open access: yesBehavioral Ecology, 2017
Science is meant to be the systematic and objective study of the world but evidence suggests that scientific practices are sometimes falling short of this expectation. In this invited idea, we argue that any failure to conduct research according to a documented plan (lack of reliability) and/or any failure to ensure that reconducting the same project ...

Balancing perceptions of targeting: An investigation of political microtargeting transparency through a calculus approach.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2023
Over the last few years, political advertisers have moved with their audiences: to social media platforms. Advertisers on these platforms aim to persuade voters by sending messages tailored to them based on their own data: political microtargeting (PMT).

Breakdown behavior of SiC photoconductive switch with transparent electrode

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
The breakdown behavior of a V-doped 4H silicon carbide photoconductive switch with a transparent electrode under a high electric field is studied. The device is triggered by a laser pulse below the bandgap wavelength with a repetition rate of 100 Hz. The light peak-power of the laser pulse reaches hundreds of kW, and the bias voltage is increased from ...

Fatigue Fracture Behaviors of Transparent Polycarbonate Materials

open access: yesCailiao gongcheng, 2017
The effect of the different stress ratios (R) and annealing treatment on the fatigue properties of the transparent polycarbonate (PC) sheet and the mechanism behind were studied, the fatigue crack propagation (FCP) process and mechanism were analyzed. The results show that after annealing, the residual stress of the PC samples decreases obviously and ...

Tunable Broadband Transparency of Macroscopic Quantum Superconducting Metamaterials

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2015
Narrow-band invisibility in an otherwise opaque medium has been achieved by electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) in atomic systems. The quantum EIT behavior can be classically mimicked by specially engineered metamaterials via carefully ...

Loss of proton‐sensing GPR4 reduces tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
G protein‐coupled receptor 4 (GPR4) is a pH‐sensing receptor activated by acidic pH. GPR4 expression is increased in patients with inflammatory bowel disease who are at high risk of developing colorectal cancer. In mouse models, loss of GPR4 attenuated tumor progression. This correlated with increased IL2 and natural killer cell activity.
