Introduction Human tumors have been successfully transplanted into animals after conditioning the recipients with modalities such as irradiation and cortisone. 1-3 Successful routine transplantation of human tumors from the operating room into animals might provide a means of determining sensitivity of these tumors to specific chemotherapeutic agents.
