Natural Killer Cells from Patients with Recombinase-Activating Gene and Non-Homologous End Joining Gene Defects Comprise a Higher Frequency of CD56bright NKG2A+++ Cells, and Yet Display Increased Degranulation and Higher Perforin Content

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2017
Mutations of the recombinase-activating genes 1 and 2 (RAG1 and RAG2) in humans are associated with a broad range of phenotypes. For patients with severe clinical presentation, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) represents the only curative ...

Line graphs and the transplantation method [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
We study isospectrality for mixed Dirichlet-Neumann boundary conditions, and extend the previously derived graph-theoretic formulation of the transplantation method. Led by the theory of Brownian motion, we introduce vertex-colored and edge-colored line graphs that give rise to block diagonal transplantation matrices.

Yunweiling alleviates functional constipation: integrating network pharmacology and experimental study

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
In a study combining network pharmacological analysis and experimental verification, yunweiling has been shown improve functional constipation by inhibiting the PI3K‐Akt‐p53 signaling pathway and reducing the expression of TP53. Abstract Background This study investigated the impacts and mechanisms of yunweiling in the management of Functional ...

Glutathione metabolism system under condition of transplantation of muscle tissue in rats

open access: yesRegulatory Mechanisms in Biosystems, 2015
The paper presents the results of determining the amount of reduced glutathione, glutathione reductase and glutathione peroxidase activity at transplantation of muscle tissue taken from rats from the same litter.

Histopathologic alterations associated with the transplanted homologous dog liver [PDF]

open access: yes, 1962
Homotransplanted livers in dogs developed mononuclear, lymphocytic and plasmacytic infiltration and hepatic cell degeneration roughly paralleling survival time.

STUDIES IN THE TRANSPLANTATION OF BONE. VI. FURTHER OBSERVATIONS CONCERNING THE ANTIGENICITY OF HOMOLOGOUS CORTICAL AND CANCELLOUS BONE.

open access: yesJournal of Bone and Joint Surgery-british Volume, 1964
Recent studies have shown that the red marrow is the principal antigenic component of a fresh homograft of iliac bone and that iliac bone tissue washed free from marrow is not demonstrably antigenic (Burwell and Gowland 1962, Burwell 1963).

Changing gears: Isospectrality via eigenderivative transplantation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
We introduce a new method for constructing isospectral quantum graphs that is based on transplanting derivatives of eigenfunctions. We also present simple digraphs with the same reversing zeta function, which generalizes the Bartholdi zeta function to digraphs.

Antitumor factors of draining lymph node cells of the mouse sensitized with ehrlich ascites tumor cells. I. Antitumor effect of subcellular factor [PDF]

open access: yes, 1969
The regional lymph node cells of the mice sensitized with Ehrlich ascites tumor cells is known to possess a substance that shows antitumor activity on target cells (JTC-II cells). For the purpose to clarify the localization of this substance the regional

Engineering antibodies with cancer‐associated binding sites

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
This review describes antibodies that perform direct/indirect roles in cancer treatment by binding to effective targets and discusses how antibodies kill tumors and modulate tumor microenvironment through these targets. The classification of expression systems for antibody production is summarized to guide appropriate selection based on different ...
