We revealed the crystal structure of eKatE from atypical E. coli. eKatE exhibits a hydrogen‐peroxide‐sensitive major channel, a stabilized dimeric interface, an unusual covalent bond between C392 and Y415, and other distinctive features. These structural features contribute to its enhanced catalase activity compared to KatE in typical E.

Germinal center formation is resilient to CD69 deletion on T follicular helper cells
CD69 is upregulated on human and mouse CD4+ T follicular helper (TFH) cells within the germinal center. In this article, we use an Il21‐cre mouse strain to ablate floxed Cd69 genes from TFH cells and a proportion of their precursors. We find that when TFH cells lack CD69, the germinal center response remains intact, supporting B‐cell affinity ...

Abstract Although outcomes for newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) have been incrementally improved over the last decades, management of relapsed and refractory (R/R) AML remains a medical challenge. A curative intent for R/R AML usually involves chemotherapy (with or without targeted therapy) with subsequent consolidation, including ...

Cryptic CAM photosynthesis in Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia, Y. jaegeriana)
Summary Joshua trees are long‐lived perennial monocots native to the Mojave Desert in North America. Composed of two species, Yucca brevifolia and Y. jaegeriana (Asparagaceae), Joshua trees are imperiled by climate change, with decreases in suitable habitat predicted under future climate change scenarios.

Summary AP1/FUL‐clade transcription factors (TFs) are essential for the initiation and regulation of flowering and have clearly separated functions in Arabidopsis. However, how these functions have diverged across eudicots remains unclear. Here, we performed a detailed analysis to unravel the distinct and overlapping functions of the tomato AP1 ...
