Non‐linearities in international prices

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Economics/Revue canadienne d'économique, Volume 56, Issue 3, Page 1032-1062, August / Août 2023., 2023
Abstract We consider multiple sources of non‐linearity in good‐level law‐of‐one‐price deviations across the globe using a structural model that accounts for previously omitted variables and allows estimation of good‐level convergence rates both within and outside the bands of no trade.

An Intelligent Identification and Repair Method for Annular Holes in 3D Printing

open access: yesComputational Intelligence and Neuroscience, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
With the popularization of 3D printing in the consumer goods field, there is a specific type of hole named annular hole in the narrow features, surface bumps, or folded parts of products. The traditional triangular mesh repair method is not effective for such holes.

Comparison of various zero‐dimensional models to analyze the brachial artery blood flow of an arterio‐venous fistula during hemodialysis procedure

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 3, Issue 10, October 2021., 2021
The main objective of this paper is to determine an appropriate pressure flow model for blood flow in the brachial artery of an arterio‐venous fistula (AVF). The mathematical model for the overall fistula circuit will improve the understanding of the fistula blood flow mechanics by providing closer emphasis for the individual components of the AVF ...

Comparison of conceptual rainfall–runoff models in semi‐arid watersheds of eastern Algeria

open access: yesJournal of Flood Risk Management, Volume 14, Issue 1, March 2021., 2021
Abstract The northeastern of Algeria is the rainiest region of the country, where regional catchments are often subject to devastating floods. To improve the management of water resources, there is a need to develop rainfall–runoff models. This study was conducted to propose an event‐based flood prediction model adapted to the region.

Screening potential pests of Nordic coniferous forests associated with trade in ornamental plants

open access: yesEPPO Bulletin, Volume 50, Issue 2, Page 249-267, August 2020., 2020
Plant pests moved along with the trade in ornamental plants could pose a threat to forests. In this study plant pests potentially associated with this pathway were screened to identify pests that could pose a high risk to the coniferous forests of Finland, Sweden and Norway.

Abstract Research on mega‐projects gives minimal consideration to municipal stakeholders and the municipal level as a sphere of action, or to decision making about and adaptation to these projects. It is also only recently that attention has been paid to the duration of projects and the roles of a variety of stakeholders in their progression.

Evaluating the impacts of infrastructure improvements based on link criticality and network performance: A case study of the trucking industry in the province of Ontario, Canada

open access: yesCanadian Geographies / Géographies canadiennes, Volume 69, Issue 1, Spring / printemps 2025.
Abstract A reliable transportation network is essential to maintaining and growing a region's economic productivity through the movement of goods, a significant proportion of which is moved by truck. Criticalities in the network should be identified and mitigation measures implemented to ensure that minimal negative impacts arise from link disruptions.
