Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Transport equation for growing bacterial populations (I)
This work deals with a mathematical study for growing a bacterial population. Each bacterium is distinguished by its degree of maturity and its maturation velocity. Here we study the limit case corresponding to infinite maturation velocities. We show

Effects of Regional Trade Agreements Using a Static and Dynamic Gravity Equation [PDF]
This paper evaluates the static effects of preferential agreements between several economic blocs and areas using a dynamic gravity equation. The main aim is to investigate whether regionalism has fostered intra or/and extra blocs international trade ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Correlation-Based Transition Transport Modeling for Simulating Crossflow Instabilities
A correlation-based transition model has been developed by Langtry and Menter for modern computational fluid dynamics codes, which is widely used for transition prediction in the field of turbomachinery and aircraft.

Transport and Environmental Planning - Research, Rhetoric and Reality [PDF]
This paper reviews recent changes to transport policy in the UK. This is discussed within the context of changes from policies of “predict and provide” to an integrated transport policy and the role of new knowledge on induced travel effects.

This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Transport equation for growing bacterial populations (II)
This article studies the growing bacterial population. Each bacterium is distinguished by its degree of maturity and its maturation velocity. To complete the study in [3], we describe the bacterial profile of this population by proving that the ...
