On The Steady Transport Equation
2000We give a simple approach to the theory of the steady transport equation, providing some results that are needed in the theory of steady compressible viscous flow. In particular, we prove the assertions that are collected together in Lemma 3 of our accompanying paper [11].

Convolution equations and the transport equation
2010In this chapter the factorization theory developed in the previous chapters is applied to solve a linear transport equation. It is known that the transport equation may be transformed into a Wiener-Hopf integral equation with an operator-valued kernel function (see [40]).

MULTISCALING TRANSPORT EQUATION ON FRACTALS
Fractals, 1999The general transport equation of multiscaling disordered fractal media in three-dimensional case is derived from conservation of mass. Multiscaling fractional transport equation is obtained on the basis of discussing Brownian motion, fractional Brownian motion and standard diffusion equation of fractals, which is consistent with the result of ...

The transport equations and the device equations
2009The charge carriers in semiconductor devices—electrons and holes—are quantum particles. Any researcher in device modelling must have a thorough grounding in the theory of quantum mechanics, because there is no point in finding solutions to the quantum equations without being able to sensibly interpret these solutions in the quantum context.

Pair production in transport equations
Physical Review D, 1988In the study of quark-gluon systems using transport equations, the production of quarks and antiquarks is often introduced in the form of a source term based on the Schwinger formula for pair production in the presence of a constant (color-)electric field.

Transport and Transport-Diffusion Equations
2011In Chapter 3, we give a very complete theory of strong solutions for transport and transport-diffusion equations. In particular, we provide a priori estimates which are the key to solving nonlinear systems coming from fluid mechanics.

Homogenization of a nonlinear transport equation
Asymptotic Analysis, 2007In this paper, we investigate the homogenization of a nonlinear kinetic equation modeling electron transport in semiconductors. We compute effective scattering coefficients for medium with periodic inhomogeneities.
