Public administration role in infrastructure development [PDF]
The infrastructure (transport) is essential for the economic development of a region. If we are taking into consideration the tourism industry and other tourist activities, the importance of the infrastructure is higher, due to the fact that the ...

A Non‐Reciprocal Architected Porous Medium
ABSTRACT In several fluid flow, energy‐dumping, and energy‐harvesting applications, a dominant flow direction or dominant resistance direction is desirable. In this study, we propose a simple modular geometry that doubles flow resistance in one direction relative to the opposite direction, while maintaining laminar viscous flow.

Is debt replacing equity in regulated privatized infrastructure in developing countries? [PDF]
The main purpose of this paper is to describe the evolution of the financing structure of regulated privatized utilities and transport companies. To do so, the authors rely on a sample of 121 utilities distributed over 16 countries, and 23 transport ...

Cerebral organoids are transforming brain research, yet the field remains fragmented. This comprehensive systematic review maps 738 studies published between 2014 and 2024 to uncover trends, gaps, and opportunities across neuroscience. Introducing OrganoidMap—an interactive, open‐access platform to explore and compare models—this work enables ...

Does Africa trade less than it should, and if so, why?: The role of market access and domestic factors [PDF]
"This paper addresses the question of whether Africa is an undertrading continent. We answer this question using a much-improved data set for obtaining predicted trade and by employing methods that correct for bias in estimates of undertrading.

Ionizable lipid nanoparticles target multiple pathological pathways in neurodegeneration. The designed self‐assembled materials undergo a pH‐triggered structural transformation from a cubosome/hexosome coexistence to a hexosome phase, enhancing intracellular delivery of a multi‐target phytochemical formulation. The antioxidant‐loaded pH‐responsive LNPs

Enhanced Endoscopic Internal Drainage of Gastric Abscess Through Additively Manufactured Stents
Postoperative gastric leaks are often treated with off‐label biliary double‐pigtail stents, yet conventional extruded designs are not optimized for leak anatomy, can migrate, and may limit abscess evacuation. PETALS is introduced to optimize transmural drainage geometry and enable patient‐specific 3D‐printable stents.

A superhydrophobic 3D cell culture platform enables rapid and consistent formation of heterotypic tumor–stroma clusters, and reveals how physiological shear conditions influence metastatic signaling. Mechanical stimulation of cancer‐associated fibroblasts promotes sustained cytokine secretion and survival‐promoting pathways, showing how multicellular ...
