Measurement of acylindrical surface with transport of intensity equation

Applied Optics, 2022
High-precision aspherical cylindrical (acylindrical) lenses are difficult to directly measure because of the phase deviation in the off-axis region. To achieve rapid and non-contact measurement of the acylindrical lens surface, a novel optical structure phase measurement, to the best of our knowledge, is presented in this work.

Robust Transport-of-Intensity Equation with Neural Differential Equations

Optica Imaging Congress (3D, COSI, DH, FLatOptics, IS, pcAOP), 2023
We solve the transport-of-intensity equation by estimating the intensity derivative using the method of neural differential equations. We observe strong robustness to artifacts from ill-conditionedness and measurement noise.

The optical refractometry using transport-of-intensity equation

Laser Physics Letters, 2022
Abstract A development of a method for measuring the refractive index of optical media based on the transport-of-intensity equation (TIE) is proposed. The method requires only a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) camera, which registers intensity distributions in several planes.

Application of transport-of-intensity equation in fringe analysis

Optics Letters, 2014
The transport-of-intensity equation (TIE) is applied in the reconstruction of two interfering wavefronts by analyzing the interference patterns and their derivatives along their common propagation directions. The TIE is extended from one wave to two waves and is then applied to calculate the phase of the interference field.

Quantitativeness of phase measurement by transport of intensity equation

Journal of Electron Microscopy, 2009
Based on the transport of intensity equation (TIE), a phase map can be readily retrieved from only three images of a focal series. The retrieval procedure does not require an iterative calculation and it is performed very fast with the use of the fast Fourier transform.

Fully-phase encryption using transport of intensity equation

Imaging and Applied Optics Congress, 2020
A new method of optical image encryption based on transport of intensity equation has been proposed. The main drawback of the conventional double random phase encoding based optical encryption is to record complex information, which can be alleviated with transport of intensity equation.

Phase Retrieval Based on Transport-of-intensity Equation

ACTA PHOTONICA SINICA, 2011
Phase retrieval based on the transport-of-intensity equation is researched to calculate phase information from the intensity measurement.A practical phase retrieval system is designed including classic Fourier phase retrieval algorithm and phase retrieval algorithm based on the total variation.Only measurements of the spatial intensity of the optical ...
