Multiple quasiparticle Hall spectroscopy investigated with a resonant detector

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2014
We investigate the finite frequency (FF) noise properties of edge states in the quantum Hall regime. We consider the measurement scheme of a resonant detector coupled to a quantum point contact in the weak-backscattering limit. A detailed analysis of the

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Rhenium-Induced Negative Magnetoresistance in Monolayer Graphene

open access: yesMagnetochemistry
The impact of rhenium doping on the transport properties and electron localization in monolayer graphene was experimentally investigated. In this study, we report the emergence of unsaturated negative magnetoresistance in Re-doped graphene devices, which

Parametric fit to electron transport properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
Experimental data acquired over the past few years were gathered, and parametric fits made to these data. The following properties of electron transport were represented by simple functions of atomic number and energy: transmitted electron number ...

Transport properties in resonant tunneling heterostructures

open access: yes, 1996
We use an adiabatic approximation in terms of instantaneous resonances to study the steady-state and time-dependent transport properties of interacting electrons in biased resonant tunneling heterostructures.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Unveiling the Doping- and Temperature-Dependent Properties of Organic Semiconductor Orthorhombic Rubrene from First Principles

open access: yesSolids
Due to its large hole mobility, organic rubrene (C42H28) has attracted research questions regarding its applications in electronic devices. In this work, extensive first-principles calculations are performed to predict some temperature- and doping ...

Adaptaquin is selectively toxic to glioma stem cells through disruption of iron and cholesterol metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Study about the capillary absorption and the sorptivity of concretes with Cuban limestone aggregates

open access: yesMateriales de Construccion, 2013
The objective of this study was to demonstrate the possibility to obtain concretes in Cuba with values of effective porosity below of 10%, using limestone aggregates with high levels of absorption (higher than 1% in many cases), and values of Sorptivity ...

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...
