Can the Fixed-Cost Transportation Problem Be Solved with the Initial Solution Methods of the Transportation Problem?

open access: yesMehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi Dergisi
From the dawn of humanity's existence to the present day and beyond, there will always be production and service systems to meet the demands at every point of consumption.

Total time minimizing transportation problem [PDF]

open access: yesYugoslav Journal of Operations Research, 2007
This paper shows the total transportation time problem regarding the time of the active transportation routes. If the multiple optimal solutions exist, it is possible to include other criteria as second level of criteria and find the corresponding ...

The Transportation-Location Problem [PDF]

open access: yesOperations Research, 1972
This paper defines a problem type, called the transportation-location problem, that can be considered a generalization of the Hitchcock transportation problem in which, in addition to seeking the amounts to be shipped from origins to destinations, it is also necessary to find, at the same time, the optimal locations of these sources with respect to a ...

Parent Quality of Life at Two Years Following Their Child's Completion of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Treatment

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Parents of children treated for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) often experience significant caregiver burden and disruption to their well‐being. While parent quality of life (QoL) during treatment is well characterized, little is known about outcomes during early survivorship.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Robust Transport over Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We consider transportation over a strongly connected, directed graph. The scheduling amounts to selecting transition probabilities for a discrete-time Markov evolution which is designed to be consistent with initial and final marginal constraints on mass

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

A Trilevel Transportation Problem for Traffic Management in Neutrosophic Environment [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems
Traffic congestion in urban areas presents a complex challenge due to the multi-level nature of transportation networks and the presence of uncertain, imprecise data.
