Nucleocytoplasmic Transport [PDF]
Active transport of proteins and RNAs between the nucleus and cytoplasm is a major process in eukaryotic cells. Recently, factors that recognize transport substrates and mediate nuclear import or export have been characterized, revealing interactions that target substrates to the nuclear pore complexes, through which translocation occurs. Translocation

Tourism as a driver of economic and social development in underdeveloped regions
Abstract Cross‐border cooperations have been usually approached by developing trade agreements between international regions to upgrade their socioeconomic conditions and promote international tourism flows in territories. However, little attention has been paid to the role that tourist companies play in underprivileged territories highly dependent on ...

The graded distribution of morphogens underlies many of the tissue patterns that form during development. How morphogens disperse from a localized source and how gradients in the target tissue form has been under debate for decades. Recent imaging studies and biophysical measurements have provided evidence for various morphogen transport models ranging

Nitrate transporters and peptide transporters
In higher plants, two types of nitrate transporters, NRT1 and NRT2, have been identified. In Arabidopsis, there are 53 NRT1 genes and 7 NRT2 genes. NRT2 are high‐affinity nitrate transporters, while most members of the NRT1 family are low‐affinity nitrate transporters.

The subfamily C ATP-binding cassette (ABCC) transporters mediate multidrug resistance and ion conductance regulation. Recent atomic or near-atomic resolution structures of three physiologically significant ABCC transporters (MRP1, SUR1, and CFTR), determined by using single-particle cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), reveal structural details that ...

Signatures of Edge States in Antiferromagnetic Van der Waals Josephson Junctions
ABSTRACT The combination of superconductivity and magnetic textures leads to unconventional superconducting phenomena, including new correlated and topological phases. Van der Waals (vdW) materials emerge as a versatile platform for exploring the interplay between these two competing orders.
