Transpupillary Thermotherapy in the Treatment of Circumscribed Choroidal Hemangiomas

International Ophthalmology, 2004
To evaluate the efficacy of transpupillary thermotherapy (TTT) for the treatment of serous retinal detachment secondary to circumscribed choroidal hemangiomas (CCH).Four eyes of four consecutive patients who presented decreased vision due to serous macular detachment secondary to CCH were enrolled in this study. After informed consent was obtained, the

Transpupillary thermotherapy of subfoveal occult choroidal neovascularization

Current Opinion in Ophthalmology, 2001
Choroidal neovascularization secondary to age-related macular degeneration is a leading cause of vision loss in adults. Although most patients present with occult CNV, treatment has focused on the small percentage of eyes with well-delineated, classic CNV.

TRANSPUPILLARY THERMOTHERAPY THRESHOLD PARAMETERS

Retina, 2003
To evaluate the effect of combined treatment with systemic indocyanine green (ICG) on threshold fluence levels of transpupillary thermotherapy (TTT) in rabbits.Four pigmented rabbits and 13 nonpigmented rabbits were studied. TTT was performed on normal rabbit choriocapillaris using an 810-nm diode laser via slit-lamp biomicroscope delivery through a ...

Transpupillary thermotherapy in the management of circumscribed choroidal hemangioma

American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1999
To report a case of circumscribed choroidal hemangioma effectively managed with transpupillary thermotherapy.A 53-year-old man affected by extramacular circumscribed choroidal hemangioma had sustained a decline in visual acuity caused by subretinal fluid exudation into the macular area.

Calcification in choroidal melanoma after transpupillary thermotherapy

American Journal of Ophthalmology, 2001
To report the response of calcification in choroidal melanoma after transpupillary thermotherapy.Interventional case report. A 66-year-old male with a posterior uveal melanoma measuring 10 x 8 x 4.4 mm underwent infrared diode laser transpupillary thermotherapy three times, each 12 weeks apart.

[Transpupillary thermotherapy of choroidal melanoma].

Klinische Monatsblatter fur Augenheilkunde, 1999
The purpose of this report is to evaluate the efficacy of transpupillary thermotherapy (TTT) to treat choroidal melanoma.17 patients with choroidal melanoma were treated, 6 patients with small tumors close to posterior pole received TTT only 11 patients were treated simultaneously with TTT and Ru 106 brachytherapy.

Transpupillary thermotherapy (TTT) in circumscribed choroidal hemangioma

Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology, 2001
Choroidal hemangioma presents a therapeutic dilemma. Although it is a benign tumor, it may lead to massive exudation of subretinal fluid and a loss of visual function. Argon laser photo-coagulation in a grid pattern may be followed by initial absorption of subretinal fluid, but recurrence is common.

Transpupillary Thermotherapy in the Treatment of Central Serous Chorioretinopathy

Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2005
Abstract. A 40-year-old man had persistent central serous chorioretinopathy at the foveal region for 20 months. The pretreatment best-corrected visual acuity was 0.3. The leaking point was close to the fovea, making the use of argon laser photocoagulation treatment unsafe.

[Transpupillary thermotherapy for choroidal metastases].

Magyar onkologia, 2005
To present three cases with choroidal metastases treated with transpupillary thermotherapy (TTT).Five choroidal metastases of three patients were treated with infrared laser thermotherapy (TTT). In all cases the distorted vision, caused by serous retinal detachment joining the posterior pole metastasis, led the patients to an ophthalmologist.
