Same‐Day Discharge After Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation: Who, When, and How?
ABSTRACT The burden of severe aortic stenosis requiring treatment is growing due to ageing populations. This places increased demands on health resources due to the growing number of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) procedures and hospital bed occupancy.

ABSTRACT Background The radial artery is the preferred access for performing diagnostic coronary angiograms (DCA). However, data on the safety and efficacy of radial compared to femoral access in low‐ and middle‐income countries is limited. Aims This study aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of radial versus femoral access in patients referred for

A randomized comparison of transradial and transfemoral access in uterine artery embolization [PDF]
PURPOSEWe aimed to compare duration of uterine artery embolization, radiation exposure, safety and quality of life associated with the procedure in patients undergoing uterine artery embolization using transradial and transfemoral access.METHODSThis ...

Among 275 elective transradial coronary angiography procedures, combined EMLA patch plus local lidocaine infiltration was associated with the lowest procedural and 24 h access‐site pain. EMLA application for 100–300 min was associated with lower pain, while BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2 predicted higher pain, supporting individualized analgesic strategies.

Radial loops are the most common radial anatomical entity for deferring or failure of transradial approach. Complex loops may not straighten immediately after traversing the loop and may take a few minutes to straighten out. Here, we describe a case of a

Two Central Nervous System Tumors in One Catheter Lab: Time to Rethink Radiation Protection
ABSTRACT Background Very little research has been done on the possible effects that repeated, frequent, and low‐dose ionizing radiation exposure has on the long‐term health of interventional cardiologists. Aims Following the diagnosis in the same year of two central nervous system tumors in two operators working in the same catheter laboratory, we ...

ABSTRACT Background Distal transradial access (dTRA) has gained attention for its lower risk of vascular complications compared to conventional transradial access (TRA). However, its feasibility and safety in patients with out‐of‐hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) undergoing emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) remain uncertain.

Transradial versus transfemoral approach for TACE: a retrospective study
Objective Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) has been widely applied in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Our study aimed to investigate the feasibility and efficacy of transradial access as an alternative to transfemoral ...

ABSTRACT Background Unfractionated heparin (UFH) remains the standard anticoagulant during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), with guidelines recommending a target activated clotting time (ACT) of ≥250 s. However, despite receiving a standardized bolus dose, many patients fail to achieve this target.
