Pliocene Sinistral Slip across the Adobe Hills, Eastern California-Western Nevada: Kinematics of Fault Slip Transfer across the Mina Deflection [PDF]
The Adobe Hills region (California and Nevada, USA) is a faulted volcanic field located within the western Mina deflection, a right-stepping zone of faults that connects the northern Eastern California shear zone (ECSZ) to the south with the Walker Lane ...

Abstract We analyze large‐scale shear zones that are exposed along the equatorial chasmata of Eastern Aphrodite Terra to understand the role of strain localization in the deformation of the Venusian crust. These shear zones dip at low angles opposite to the slopes, forming terraces that expose portions of the shear planes.

Abstract Sant'Anna Pelago is located near the extensional front of the Northern Apennines (Italy) between Modena and Lucca, an area characterized by multiple lateral steps of the NW‐SE striking tectonic system and orographic divide. The region is affected by significant instrumental seismicity with over a thousand recorded events (0.5 < M < 4.8) from ...

Guadalupe pluton–Mariposa Formation age relationships in the southern Sierran Foothills: Onset of Mesozoic subduction in northern California? [PDF]
We report a new 153 ± 2 Ma SIMS U-Pb date for zircons from the hypabyssal Guadalupe pluton which crosscuts and contact metamorphoses upper crustal Mariposa slates in the southern Sierra.

Kinematic evolution of the Pieniny Klippen Belt in Cenozoic (Ukrainian Carpathians)
The data on surface, subsurface and deep structure of the Pieniny Klippen Belt (PKB) have been summarized and new results of its geological-structural and fault kinematic studies within the Ukrainian part of the Eastern Carpathians have been presented ...

New active faults on Eurasian-Arabian collision zone : Tectonic activity of Özyurt and Gülsünler faults (eastern Anatolian Plateau, Van-Turkey) [PDF]
The Eastern Anatolian Plateau emerges from the continental collision between Arabian and Eurasian plates where intense seismicity related to the ongoing convergence characterizes the southern part of the plateau. Active deformation in this zone is shared

Transcurrent continental tectonics model [PDF]
The Ossa-Morena Zone (SW Iberian Massif) was affected by continuous orogen-parallel transcurrent continental tectonics from the Neoproterozoic to the Carboniferous times, involving transtension (TT) and transpression (TP) processes that co-existed ...
