On translation transversal designs [PDF]
A finite incidence structure \({\mathcal J}\) is called a transversal translation design (TTD) if it admits (1.) a partition of the point set into classes such that (i) any two points of different classes are joined by a unique block; (ii) any two points of the same class are not joined by a block; (iii) each block meets each point class; and (2.) a ...

A family of non class-regular symmetric transversal designs of spread type
Many classes of symmetric transversal designs have been constructed from generalized Hadamard matrices and they are necessarily class regular. In [2] we constructed symmetric transversal designs using spreads of Z2np with p a prime.

New Construction for Transversal Design
Journal of Computational Biology, 2006The study of gene functions requires the development of a DNA library of high quality through much of testing and screening. Pooling design is a mathematical tool to reduce the number of tests for DNA library screening. The transversal design is a special type of pooling design, which is good in implementation.

Transverse holographic optical interconnect design
Applied Optics, 1994The design of A new type of planar optical interconnect, the transverse holographic waveguide, is described. With this type of interconnect a one-dimensional input light distribution is converted into a one-dimensional output light distribution by holographic patterning along the direction of the optical wave propagation.

Low-Density Parity-Check Codes from Transversal Designs with Improved Stopping Set Distributions
This paper examines the construction of low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes from transversal designs based on sets of mutually orthogonal Latin squares (MOLS). By transferring the concept of configurations in combinatorial designs to the level of Latin

Design of a novel transversal filter
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2004AbstractA novel transversal filter using triple‐coupled‐line directional couplers and its design method are proposed. The performance of the proposed filter is verified by full‐wave analysis and measurement. The measured result is compared with the simulated one and good agreement is achieved. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

The design of transverse filters and their use in visual electrograms
Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine, 1987The subject under study is a digital filtering method which combines the advantages of both theoretical precision and great flexibility of use. This method has enabled us to develop transverse filters which respect the principle of causality and offer a fast and simple solution in the filtering of electrophysiological potentials.
