Transverse cerebellar diameter in twin gestations

American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1992
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the significance of transverse cerebellar diameter measurements in twin pregnancies.A prospective, cross-sectional ultrasonographic study was done on 329 normal singleton fetuses and 47 normal twin pairs. Fetal biometric measurements including biparietal diameter, head circumference, abdominal circumference ...

Transverse Cerebellar Diameter and Transverse Cerebellar Diameter/Abdominal Circumference Index for Assessing Fetal Growth

Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy, 1996
In a prospective study of 330 pregnant women, measurements of the transverse cerebellar diameter (TCD), abdominal circumference (AC), biparietal diameter (BPD), head circumference (HC) and TCD/AC ratio and HC/AC ratio were obtained using conventional ultrasonography between 16th and 41st weeks of gestation.

Fetal transverse cerebellar diameter in different ethnic groups

Journal of Perinatal Medicine, 2000
Transverse cerebellar diameter has been described as a tool to check for gestational age, but there are no available studies that attempt to determine differences in transverse cerebellar diameter between groups of different ethnic origin. The present study was undertaken to check for differences in ultrasound-measured transverse cerebellar diameter ...

Reference Values for Transverse Cerebellar Diameter Throughout Gestation

Pediatric and Developmental Pathology, 2002
The transverse cerebellar diameter (TCD) is well established in the ultrasound literature as a reliable parameter for estimating the duration of gestation. In cases of growth restriction the cerebellum is usually spared, making TCD a reliable indicator of gestational age even when other parameters fall off the appropriate growth curve.
