Fetal transverse cerebellar diameter in Thai population.
Journal of the Medical Association of Thailand = Chotmaihet thangphaet, 2001We developed a nomogram for transverse cerebellar diameter (TCD) in Thai fetuses by recruitment of 153 normal pregnant women in the first trimester. The gestational age calculated by the certain last menstrual period and the first trimester ultrasound were in agreement.

Fetal cerebellum scanning by prenatal ultrasound (US) is very important for early detection of fetal central-nervous-system anomaly, as well as for the determination of gestational age (GA). Due to the small organ size and the unique shape of the fetal cerebellum (CL), accurate measurement of the dimensions of CL by two-dimensional (2-D) US is not easy

Transverse cerebellar diameter measurements have been established for singleton but not twin pregnancies. In singleton pregnancies controversy exists on whether cerebellar growth is affected by intrauterine growth retardation. We undertook this retrospective study in twin pregnancies to establish a nomogram for the transverse cerebellar diameter in ...

There have been conflicting reports regarding the ability of cerebellar diameter to satisfactorily predict the gestational age of growth-retarded fetuses. Gestational age prediction intervals were derived from 270 normal fetuses between 14 and 40 weeks' gestation for biparietal diameter, head circumference, abdominal circumference, femur length, and ...

[Birth weight prediction by B-type ultrasonic measurement of fetal transverse cerebellar diameter].
Zhonghua fu chan ke za zhi, 1994The fetal transverse cerebellar diameter (CD), biparietal diameter(BPD), abdominal circumference (AC) and femur length(FL) were measured by B-type ultrasonography on 222 normal pregnant women with one week before the expected date of confinement (EDC) and their correlations with birth weight of newborns were computerized.

Measured fetal transverse cerebellar diameters were obtained by ultrasonography in 325 women during 20-42 weeks of gestation. A nomogram for transverse cerebellar diameter with respect to gestational age was generated. Curvilinear relationship was found between the transverse cerebellar diameter and the gestational age (R = 0.99624, P less than 0.0005).
