Transversal isotrope Probleme

2018

Dynamics of transversely isotropic cylinders

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2004
Studies on wave propagation in cylinders have a long history [M. J. Berliner and R. Solecki, J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 99, 1841–1853 (1996)]. Onoe et al. [J. Appl. Mech. 29, 729–734 (1962)] studied the attenuating and propagating modes of an isotropic cylindrical rod. Mirsky [J. Acoust. Soc. Am.

Laminated Transversely Isotropic Cylindrical Shells

Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1971
A theory for the analysis of stresses in laminated circular cylindrical shells subjected to arbitrary axisymmetric mechanical and thermal loadings has been developed. This theory, specifically for use with pyrolytic-graphite-type materials, differs from the classical thin shell theory in that it includes the effects of transverse shear deformation and ...

Viscoplasticity of Transversely Isotropic Clays

Journal of the Engineering Mechanics Division, 1979
A viscoplastic constitutive relation of the endochronic type (i.e., the inelastic strain increments are characterized by an intrinsic time) is formulated to describe the behavior of transversely isotropic clays produced by one-dimensional consolidation.

Acoustoelasticity in transversely isotropic materials

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1984
The acoustoelastic response of a transversely isotropic body loaded in plane stress is computed for arbitrarily severe anisotropy. Relations for the propagation speeds of longitudinal and shear waves propagating normal to the plane of stress are given as functions of the stress.

Transverse-electric and transverse-magnetic waves in nonlinear isotropic waveguides

Physical Review A, 1989
A full theory of the interaction between nonlinear transverse-electric and transverse-magnetic waves is derived. A new form of third-order tensor that accounts for the presence of the two polarizations is described and a mathematical discussion of the first integral is presented.

Contact on a transversely isotropic half-space, or between two transversely isotropic bodies

International Journal of Solids and Structures, 1980
Abstract There is a direct correspondence between the integral equations of contact, (that is the equations relating surface displacements to surface stresses), on a linearly elastic, homogeneous, transversely isotropic half-space and those on a similar isotropic half-space.
