Creep behaviors and constitutive model of transversely isotropic rocks
The bedded carbonaceous slate exhibits transversely isotropic creep properties. The creep behaviors of carbonaceous slate are studied using the triaxial compressive creep tests on horizontal bedding specimens and vertical bedding specimens.

Analytical Solution for a Two-Layer Transversely Isotropic Half-Space Affected by an Arbitrary Shape Dynamic Surface Load [PDF]
The dynamic response of a transversely isotropic, linearly elastic layer bonded to the surface of a half-space of a different transversely isotropic material under arbitrary shape surface loads is considered.

3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

A virtual element method for transversely isotropic elasticity [PDF]
This work studies the approximation of plane problems concerning transversely isotropic elasticity, using a low-order virtual element method (VEM), with a focus on near-incompressibility and near-inextensibility.

Role of the Recombination Zone in Organic Light‐Emitting Devices
This review summarizes the critical role of the recombination zone in organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs). We highlight that broadening the recombination zone in OLEDs based on emissive layers with balanced charge transport and high photoluminescence quantum yields provides a promising route toward achieving both long operational lifetime and high ...
