Minimally Invasive Arthroscopic Fixation of Scaphoid Nonunion in Adolescents Shows High Union Rates, Improved Function, and Low Morbidity

open access: yesArthroscopy, Sports Medicine, and Rehabilitation, Volume 8, Issue 1, February 2026.
Purpose To evaluate the clinical, radiographic, and functional outcomes of arthroscopic treatment of scaphoid nonunion in adolescents, using cancellous bone grafting combined with headless compression screw fixation. Methods This retrospective study included adolescent patients treated between 2015 and 2022 with arthroscopically assisted bone grafting ...

Trapezium reconstruction with pisiform autograft in trapeziometacarpal revision arthroplasty: A case report.

open access: yesHand Surgery and Rehabilitation
The authors used a pisiform autograft to fill trapezial bone defect and allow revision of a trapeziometacarpal prosthesis. At 18 months, the patient regained a level of indolence and resumed her daily activities. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE: IV.

In‐Vivo Hand Mass Determination and an Anthropometric Investigation on Segment Length and Radius for Prosthetic Segment Design

open access: yesHealthcare Technology Letters, Volume 13, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper determines the hand mass using cylindrical and parallelepiped geometrical approximations. Additionally, it investigates how dimensions of fingers change with respect to the palm to facilitate prosthetic digit development for partial hand amputees.

Antegrade Intramedullary Screw Fixation: A Novel Approach to Metacarpal Fractures

open access: yesJournal of Hand Surgery Global Online, 2019
Metacarpal fractures are common upper-extremity fractures. Surgical fixation is recommended for open injuries, segmental bone loss, multiple metacarpal fractures, irreducible fractures, and unstable fracture patterns.

Scaphoid Osteoid Osteoma in a Pediatric Patient: A Case Report and Review of Diagnostic Pitfalls and Management Strategies

open access: yesCase Reports in Orthopedics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Osteoid osteoma (OO) of the scaphoid is an uncommon entity, particularly in pediatric patients, where diagnosis is often delayed due to its rarity and overlapping presentation with more common wrist pathologies. We report the case of a pediatric athlete with persistent wrist pain initially diagnosed as a scaphoid fracture.

Combined Arthroscopic Assisted Lower Trapezius Tendon Transfer and Achilles Tendon Allograft plus Superior Capsular Reconstruction using Long Head Biceps Autograft for Massive Irreparable Rotator Cuff Posterosuperior Tears: The “Pull‐Over” Technique

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, Volume 14, Issue 11, November 2025.
Abstract Massive, irreparable posterosuperior rotator cuff tears, particularly those involving the infraspinatus, remain challenging to manage. In recent years, superior capsular reconstruction (SCR) and lower trapezius transfer (LTT) have been two techniques that have gained popularity.
