Regulated harvest is a relatively new phenomenon for gray wolves (Canis lupus) in the contiguous United States. Most studies of wolf harvest have been conducted in northern latitudes where wolf populations are large and human densities are low.

Comparing Live-Capture Methods for Nutria: Single- Versus Multiple-Capture Cage Traps
Herbivory and burrowing by nutria (Myocastor coypus) cause substantial ecological and economic damage. Trapping is a common, effective practice for reducing nutria damage; however, trapping approaches must continually be adapted to keep pace with ...

Black holes without boundaries
We discuss some of the drawbacks of using event horizons to define black holes and suggest ways in which black holes can be described without event horizons, using trapping horizons.

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Isolation, Multiplication, and Characterization of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Strains in Soils of North-East Morocco: Impact of Soils and Trap Plants [PDF]
This study, carried out in the eastern region of Morocco, aims to valorize and isolate indigenous arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) from four soils (Guercif, Zaïo, Berkane and Bouarg).

Angular constraint on light-trapping absorption enhancement in solar cells
Light trapping for solar cells can reduce production cost and improve energy conversion efficiency. Understanding some of the basic theoretical constraints on light trapping is therefore of fundamental importance.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

How to capture active particles
For many applications, it is important to catch collections of autonomously navigating microbes and man-made microswimmers in a controlled way. Here we propose an efficient trap to collectively capture self-propelled colloidal rods.

Microfluidic electro‐viscoelastic manipulation of extracellular vesicles
The electro‐viscoelastic manipulation as a potential method for separation of particles based on size. The particles introduced as a sheath flow migrate to the channel center under the influence of simultaneously applied electric field and pressure driven flow.

Modelling neutron damage effects on tritium transport in tungsten
A damage-induced hydrogen trap creation model is proposed, and parameters for tungsten are identified using experimental data. The methodology for obtaining these parameters using thermo-desorption analysis spectra data is outlined.
