Case files of work-related amputations in Minnesota during 1977 were accessed in cooperation with the Workers' Compensation Division of Minnesota. Data analysis was conducted by computer using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences.

Traumatic Partial Foot Amputation
Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1984Twenty patients in whom partial foot amputation had been performed following trauma were evaluated for successful retention of the foot. Of ten transverse stumps, only three partial feet were retained. Failure was related to poor terminal coverage from skin grafts and to equinus deformity.
