Traumatic chiasmal neuropathy results from injury to the face, sphenoid and clivus. Its pathogenesis remains enigmatic. Because of its close relationship to the pituitary gland, hypothalamus and internal carotid artery, a neuro-ophthalmic evaluation and imaging is needed in such cases.
