Prosthetic joint infections (PJIs) are gaining growing attention as a healthcare issue. Salmonella spp. is a rare cause of PJI, mostly involving hip arthroplasty rather than knee arthroplasty. Therefore, clinical experience on the management of PJI involving knee arthroplasties caused by Salmonella spp. is scant.
