Seq2Img-DRNET: A travel time index prediction algorithm for complex road network at regional level
Expert Systems with Applications, 2021Abstract Nowadays, traffic situation prediction is a major concern. Travel time index prediction is one of the representative tasks in traffic situation prediction. Most research of the current prediction focuses on road-level speed, but the travel time index prediction of complex road network at the regional level has not been well solved.

kNN Search Utilizing Index of the Minimum Road Travel Time in Time-Dependent Road Networks
2014 IEEE 33rd International Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems Workshops, 2014Recently, there has been an increasing interest in search in time-dependent road networks where the travel time on roads depends on the time. In such a time-dependent network, the result of k Nearest Neighbor (kNN) queries, which search the k nearest neighbors (kNNs) from the specified location, depends on the query-issuing time.

Practical Index Framework for Efficient Time-Travel Phrase Queries on Versioned Documents
2016 Data Compression Conference (DCC), 2016In this paper, we propose a new framework to index versioned documents, and extend the keyword queries into the more general phrase queries. Our index answers a one-sided time-constrained phrase query for any phrase P in O((|P|+k)log n) time, where n is the dataset size and k is the output size.

Summary Spatially distributed nonpoint source (NPS) pollution indices are used to identify areas in a watershed where potential pollutant loading coincides with runoff generating areas. However, most such indices either ignore the degree of hydrologic connectivity to the stream network or they estimate it based simply on the distance of the pollution

Comparison of several traffic forecasting methods based on travel time index data on weekends
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University (Science), 2010Traffic forecasting provides the estimation of future traffic state to help traffic control, travel guide, etc. This paper compared several widely used traffic forecasting methods, and analyzed each one’s performance in detail to make conclusions, which could redound to researchers choosing an appropriate traffic forecasting method in their own works ...

More than travel time: New accessibility index capturing the connectivity of transit services
Journal of Transport Geography, 2019Abstract Various qualities of transit services, including travel time, frequency, and the presence of alternative paths, affect accessibility—how easily passengers can reach their destinations by transit. Traditional accessibility metrics, such as gravity-type and cumulative-opportunity indices, rely exclusively on travel time as a proxy for travel ...

Examining Congestion Pricing Scheme Effectiveness Using the Travel Time Congestion Index
Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research BoardThis study investigated the effectiveness of congestion pricing (CP) using the travel time congestion index (TTCI), a congestion assessment tool, in Hyderabad, India. Initially, a set of hypothetical mode choice scenarios under the CP scheme were designed to collect car users’ perceptions based on a stated preference (SP) experiment.

Developing a Travel Time Congestion Index
Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 1996A congestion index that is keyed to the differences in actual versus desired travel times for various types of roadways is described. The suggested index provides a continuous scale for assessing the amount of congestion incurred. It encompasses a wide range of values and is easy to understand and use.
