Existence and uniqueness of traveling wave for accelerated Frenkel-Kontorova model
In this paper, we study the existence and uniqueness of traveling wave solution for the accelerated Frenkel-Kontorova model. This model consists in a system of ODE that describes the motion particles in interaction.

Microsphere Autolithography—A Scalable Approach for Arbitrary Patterning of Dielectric Spheres
MicroSphere Autolithography (µSAL) enables scalable fabrication of patchy particles with customizable surface motifs. Focusing light through dielectric microspheres creates well defined, tunable patches via a conformal poly(dopamine) photoresist. Nearly arbitrary surface patterns can be achieved, with the resolution set by the index contrast between ...

Nematicons in liquid crystals with Kerr Law by sub-equation method
In this study, trigonometric and hyperbolic type traveling wave solutions are produced by using the sub-equation analytical method by taking into account the Kerr Law properties of the equation defining nematic liquid crystals.

Solitary waves, periodic and elliptic solutions to the Benjamin, Bona & Mahony (BBM) equation modified by viscosity [PDF]
In this paper, we use a traveling wave reduction or a so-called spatial approximation to comprehensively investigate periodic and solitary wave solutions of the modified Benjamin, Bona & Mahony equation (BBM) to include both dissipative and dispersive ...

Local Thermal Conductivity Patterning in Rotating Lattice Crystals of Anisotropic Sb2S3
Microscale control of thermal conductivity in Sb2S3 is demonstrated via laser‐induced rotating lattice crystals. Thermal conductivity imaging reveals marked thermal transport anisotropy, with the c axis featuring amorphous‐like transport, whereas in‐plane directions (a, b) exhibit 3.5x and 1.7x larger thermal conductivity.

3D Digital Light Processing of Redox‐Active Polymers for Electrochemical Applications
3D printing of electrochemically switchable conducting polymers is achieved by Digital Light Processing of redox‐active carbazole‐based polymer materials. Complex 2D and 3D architectures including dot arrays and pyramids clearly show the potential for novel 3D switchable electrochemical devices for sensors, electrochromic displays as well as 3D printed

Explicit solutions for the coupled nonlinear Drinfeld–Sokolov–Satsuma–Hirota system
In this paper, we firstly solve the auxiliary elliptic equation and obtain the explicit solutions to the equation. Then, by the modified polynomial expansion method, we obtain more new explicit solutions for the coupled nonlinear Drinfeld–Sokolov–Satsuma–

Contest based on a directed polymer in a random medium
We introduce a simple one-parameter game derived from a model describing the properties of a directed polymer in a random medium. At his turn, each of the two players picks a move among two alternatives in order to maximize his final score, and minimize ...
