This paper is about the existence of traveling wave solutions for a delayed nonlocal dispersal SIR epidemic model with the critical wave speed. Because of the introduction of nonlocal dispersal and the generality of incidence function, it is difficult to

Summary: We study a mathematical model of coastal waves in the shallow water approximation. The model contains two empirical parameters. The first one controls turbulent dissipation. The second one is responsible for the turbulent viscosity and is determined by the turbulent Reynolds number. We study travelling waves solutions to this model.

Streamwise-traveling waves of spanwise wall velocity for turbulent drag reduction [PDF]
Waves of spanwise velocity imposed at the walls of a plane turbulent channel flow are studied by Direct Numerical Simulations. We consider sinusoidal waves of spanwise velocity which vary in time and are modulated in space along the streamwise direction.

Boundary States for D-branes with Traveling Waves [PDF]
We construct boundary states for D-branes which carry traveling waves in the covariant formalism. We compute their vacuum amplitudes to investigate their interactions.

Tonotopically arranged traveling waves in the miniature hearing organ of bushcrickets. [PDF]
Place based frequency discrimination (tonotopy) is a fundamental property of the coiled mammalian cochlea. Sound vibrations mechanically conducted to the hearing organ manifest themselves into slow moving waves that travel along the length of the organ ...

Euler–Darboux–Poisson Equation in Context of the Traveling Waves in a Strongly Inhomogeneous Media
The existence of traveling waves in an inhomogeneous medium is a vital problem, the solution of which can help in modeling the wave propagation over long distances. Such waves can be storm waves or tsunami waves in the seas and oceans.

Strong electron-photon coupling in one-dimensional quantum dot chain: Rabi waves and Rabi wavepackets [PDF]
We predict and theoretically investigate the new coherent effect of nonlinear quantum optics -- spatial propagation of Rabi oscillations (Rabi waves) in one-dimensional quantum dot (QD) chain.

Classification of diagnostic features of transient signals in the electric power industry [PDF]
Problems of practical implementation of traveling wave fault location caused by the registration of signals of different nature are considered. Analysis of the experimentally recorded traveling waves made it possible to divide them into 4 groups caused ...
