Aboveground biomass of mongolian larch (Larix sibiricledeb.) forests in the eurasian region [PDF]
We used our database of tree biomass with a number of 433 sample trees of Larix from different ecoregions of Eurasia, involving 61 trees from Mongolia for developing an additive model of biomass tree components.

The concept of foulant particle manipulation and detachment from active microfiltration membranes via voltage‐driven vibrations is introduced. Actuator components are initially integrated onto the filtration membranes using an airbrush spray printing technique.

Species-specific forest variable estimation using non-parametric modeling of multi-spectral photogrammetric point cloud data [PDF]
The recent development in software for automatic photogrammetric processing of multispectral aerial imagery, and the growing nation-wide availability of Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data, are about to revolutionize data capture for forest management ...

We obtain new nonasymptotic tail bounds for the height of uniformly random trees with a given degree sequence, simply generated trees and conditioned Bienaymé trees (the family trees of branching processes) in the process settling three conjectures of Janson (Probab. Surv.

Topological van der Waals contacts represent a new class of electrodes for 2D semiconductors, enabling precise control of the Schottky barrier height (SBH) and contact resistance (RC) through interlayer distance and orbital hybridization engineering. In Se‐based transition metal dichalcogenides, these contacts achieve an ultralow SBH of 7 meV, RC of 0.

Electron–Matter Interactions During Electron Beam Nanopatterning
This article reviews the electron–matter interactions important to nanopatterning with electron beam lithography (EBL). Electron–matter interactions, including secondary electron generation routes, polymer radiolysis, and electron beam induced charging, are discussed.

Optimal Binary Search Trees with Near Minimal Height
Suppose we have n keys, n access probabilities for the keys, and n+1 access probabilities for the gaps between the keys. Let h_min(n) be the minimal height of a binary search tree for n keys.

Aspects of precommercial thinning in heterogeneous forests in southern Sweden [PDF]
The overall objective of the work underlying this thesis was to suggest and evaluate possible strategies for the tending of young heterogeneous stands of Norway spruce, Scots pine and birch in southern Sweden.

Computing Tree-depth Faster Than $2^{n}$
A connected graph has tree-depth at most $k$ if it is a subgraph of the closure of a rooted tree whose height is at most $k$. We give an algorithm which for a given $n$-vertex graph $G$, in time $\mathcal{O}(1.9602^n)$ computes the tree-depth of $G$. Our

Spatially Tailorable Liquid Crystalline Elastomer Alignment During Digital Light Process 3D Printing
Here, we report the fabrication of 3D printable liquid crystalline elastomer (LCE) structures with spatially tailorable alignment domains within the same layer. This work addresses the long‐standing challenge of preparing complex 3D LCE architectures with patterned functional domains to achieve nonlinear deformations. Fabrication of multi‐domains in 3D
