Cold Orthogonal Translation: A Psychrophilic Pyrrolysyl‐tRNA Synthetase Boosts Genetic Code Expansion in E. coli

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Orthogonal translation systems (OTSs) enable site‐specific incorporation of non‐canonical amino acids (ncAAs) and are central to genetic code expansion. Current engineering strategies typically rely on hyperstable aminoacyl tRNA synthetase (aaRS) scaffolds to tolerate destabilizing mutations required for substrate diversification.

Gut Mycobiota‐Associated Tryptophan Catabolites Protect Against Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accumulating evidence suggests that the intestinal microbiota participates in the progression of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) through microbiota‐host interaction. However, the beneficial role of commensal mycobiota in MASLD progression remains poorly understood.

Optimal placement of wavelength converters in trees, tree-connected rings, and tree of rings

Computer Communications, 2003
In wavelength routed optical networks, wavelength converters can potentially reduce the requirement on the number of wavelengths. A recent study [Proceedings of 9th ACM-SIAM Symposium on Discrete Algorithms (1998)] raised the following problem: choose a minimum number of nodes in a WDM network to place wavelength converters so that any set of paths ...

Wavelength allocation on trees of rings

Networks, 2000
Summary: We consider a problem that arises from communication in all-optical networks. Data are transmitted from source nodes to destination nodes via fixed routes. The high bandwidth of the optic fiber allows for wavelength-division multiplexing so that a single physical optical link can carry several logical signals of different wavelengths.
