New Trellis Code Design for Spatial Modulation [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2011
Spatial modulation (SM), in which multiple antennas are used to convey information besides the conventional M-ary signal constellations, is a new multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission technique, which has recently been proposed as an alternative to V-BLAST (vertical Bell Labs layered space-time).

Potential Targets and Signaling Mechanisms of Cinnamaldehyde Enhancing Intestinal Function and Nutritional Regulation in Fat Greenling (Hexagrammos otakii). [PDF]

open access: yesAquac Nutr
Cinnamaldehyde is an ideal feed additive with good immune enhancement and anti‐inflammatory regulation effects. However, the anti‐inflammatory regulation mechanism in fat greenling (Hexagrammos otakii, H. otakii) remains unclear. The nine targets of cinnamaldehyde were gathered in identified by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology ...

Characterization of irrigator emitter to be used as solid set canopy delivery system: which is best for which role in the vineyard?

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 79, Issue 2, Page 584-597, February 2023., 2023
Irrigator emitters were demonstrated as a feasible SSCD solution for PPP spray application in vineyards. The right emitter positioning in the canopy, according to their spray pattern, plays a key role for the canopy spray coverage. Abstract Background The timely and flexible treatment of solid set canopy delivery systems (SSCDS) is expanding ...

A bottom‐up design methodology of neural min‐sum decoders for LDPC codes

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 17, Issue 3, Page 377-386, February 2023., 2023
After investigating the training process of neural network formed by unrolling a original LDPC code decoder, we proposed a novel method of generating the needed feeding data, and exposed the close connection between loss and decoding metrics of a code. Furthermore, it was verified in extensive simulation that the quantity of training parameter impacts ...

A new design of channel denoiser using residual autoencoder

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 59, Issue 2, January 2023., 2023
A novel denoiser based on a residual autoencoder structure is proposed. The proposed denoiser speeds up training process and boosts the performance due to its structure effectively extracting compressed features. Simulation results show that this denoiser outperforms all the existing denoisers.

Joint source and turbo trellis coded hierarchical modulation for context-aware medical image transmission [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
An iterative Joint Source and Turbo Trellis Coded Hierarchical Modulation is introduced for robust context-aware medical image transmission. Lossless source compression as well as Quality of Service (QoS) might be considered as the main constraints in ...

Integer programming‐based non‐uniform window decoding schedules for spatially coupled low‐density parity‐check codes

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 16, Issue 17, Page 2019-2035, October 2022., 2022
Abstract Spatially coupled low‐density parity‐check (SC‐LDPC) codes generally use a window decoding scheme, which is known to yield a near‐optimal decoding, compared to full block decoding. Recently, a non‐uniform schedule has been proposed to eliminate unnecessary updates of variable nodes within a window: this schedule is generated based on the ...
