Method of blind reconstruction for trellis‐coded modulation codes
Since trellis‐coded modulation (TCM) was introduced, it was quickly adopted in modem standards. Unlike blind reconstruction for normal channel coding, blind reconstruction for TCM codes not only requires identifying the correct generator matrix, but also the correct type of constellation mapping. So far this has seldom been reported.

Luby Transform Coding Aided Bit-Interleaved Coded Modulation for the Wireless Internet [PDF]
Bit-Interleaved Coded Modulation using Iterative Decoding (BICM-ID) is amalgamated with Luby Transform (LT) coding. The resultant joint design of the physical and data link layer substantially improves the attainable Bit Error Rate (BER) performance.

The protocol is based on a block fading model of the multi-user uplink channel and on adapting multidimensional trellis coded modulation techniques to a coding theorem derived for the block fading channel.
