Cell Death in Neurodegenerative Diseases: Molecular Mechanisms and Therapeutic Targets
Regulated cell death pathways, including apoptosis, necroptosis, pyroptosis, ferroptosis, and autophagy‐dependent cell death, interact with mitochondrial dysfunction, proteostasis failure, lysosomal stress, glial remodeling, and neuroinflammation across major neurodegenerative diseases.

Abstract An intense seismic swarm started on 27 January 2025 in the Santorini‐Amorgos region and lasted for approximately 45 days. A widely observed seismic tremor on 14 February 2025 suggested a volcanic origin for the 2025 Santorini crisis. Here we present an in‐depth combined seismological analysis of the earthquakes and tremors that occurred during

Abstract Seismic and aseismic slip has been reported in the Nankai Trough. In this study we apply ambient noise differential adjoint tomography to obtain a high‐resolution S‐wave velocity (Vs) model in the Nankai Trough. The Vs in the very shallow imbricate thrust zone is higher than that on both the seaward and landward sides.

Abrupt Suppression of Tectonic Tremors Outside the Stress Shadow of Mendocino Earthquakes
Abstract Tectonic tremor is a long‐duration noise‐like seismic signal associated with slow fault motion at major plate boundaries. Due to their remarkable sensitivity to stress perturbations, tremors serve as invaluable probes of the mechanical state and stress conditions deep within fault zones.

Seismic Exploration for Magmatic Brine Lenses: An Example From Soufrière Hills Volcano, Montserrat
Abstract The majority of metallic ore deposits are related to processes associated with ancient or modern volcanic systems. Beyond geothermal energy production, volcanoes also represent a potential resource of critical metals, including those required for carbon‐neutral technologies. Geothermal metals occur in subsurface fluid reservoirs fed by surface

Very‐Long‐Period Seismic Signals During Lateral Dike Propagation at Piton de La Fournaise Volcano
Abstract We report a previously undocumented sequence of very long period (VLP) signals preceding the September 2022 eruption at Piton de la Fournaise. These events occurred during lateral magma propagation and exhibit quasi‐periodic sawtooth‐shaped displacement transients.

ABSTRACT Friedreich Ataxia (FRDA) is a neurodegenerative disorder of children and young adults associated with cardiomyopathy and other systemic complications. We report a 10‐year‐old girl who presented simultaneously with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia and FRDA who was successfully treated for her leukemia with allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell ...

ABSTRACT Background Nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are widely used during pregnancy, yet information on their developmental safety during sensitive perinatal windows remains limited. This study evaluated the maternal and early developmental effects of paracetamol/acetaminophen, aspirin, and nimesulide administered at therapeutically ...

Sympatry Increases Predation Risk for an Endangered Ungulate
We characterized predation risk for Peninsular bighorn sheep and southern mule deer across their ranges to understand how topography, habitat, forage, and prey habitat suitability affect where pumas are likely to predate both species. The presence of the second ungulate species increased predation risk for both species but had the greatest effect on ...
