Attitude Tracking of a Tri-Rotor UAV based on Robust Sliding Mode with Time Delay Estimation

open access: yes2018 International Conference on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (ICUAS), 2018
The paper presents a robust sliding mode with time delay estimation method for controlling the attitude of a tri-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in presence of uncertainties and disturbances. The proposed control algorithm allows high accuracy tracking since a good disturbance estimation is provided using time delay estimation method and allows ...

Attitude Control of a Single Tilt Tri-Rotor UAV System: Dynamic Modeling and Each Channel's Nonlinear Controllers Design [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, 2013
This paper has implemented nonlinear control strategy for the single tilt tri-rotor aerial robot. Based on Newton-Euler’s laws, the linear and nonlinear mathematical models of tri-rotor UAVs are obtained. A numerical analysis using Newton-Raphson method is chosen for finding hovering equilibrium point. Back-stepping nonlinear controller design is based

Event‐triggered cooperative control for moving target encirclement and tracking with time‐varying pattern by UAV formation

open access: yesIET Control Theory &Applications, Volume 18, Issue 1, Page 55-70, January 2024.
An event‐triggered cooperative control strategy is proposed for encircling and tracking moving targets using a UAV formation. This strategy allows for the adjustment of the circular orbit's radius around the target in response to time‐varying commands, enhancing performance in complex and unstructured environments.
