Swab‐based anal cancer screening in men living with HIV: Projected outcomes for different screening algorithms

What's New? Screening, combined with treatment of precancerous lesions, is key to preventing anal cancer. Here, the authors compare different screening algorithms. The International Anal Neoplasia Society recommends swab‐based screening as a first step, either cytology‐based or HPV‐based, and digital anal rectal exam (DARE).
