THE EFFECT OF TRIALKYLTIN COMPOUNDS ON TUBULIN POLYMERISATION

Journal of Neurochemistry, 1978
AbstractThe effects of trialkyltin compounds on the colchicine‐binding activity and the in vitro polymerisation of rat brain tubulin have been investigated. Trialkyltins at concentrations between 10 and 100 μM inhibited the colchicine‐binding activity of purified tubulin preparations derived from rat brain.

The interactions of trialkyltin compounds with lysosomes from rat liver

Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry, 2000
Interactions of two trialkyltin compounds with the lysosomes from a rat liver have been studied. It is shown that these compounds induce a fast alkalinisation in the matrix of energised lysosomes. The fast alkalinisation rate is similar to the one obtained with uncouplers of the oxidative phosphorylation.

Determination of trialkyltin, dialkyltin, and triphenyltin compounds in environmental water and sediments

Journal of Chromatography A, 1984
An analytical procedure for the determination of trialkyltin (tributyltin, tripropyltin), triphenyltin and dialkyltin (dibutyltin) compounds in environmental water and sediment was studied. Water samples were extracted into benzene with hydrochloric acid and sodium chloride.

A proposal for a new mechanism of interaction of trialkyltin (TAT) compounds with mitochondria

Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry, 1997
The interactions of trialkyltin (TAT) compounds with the mitochondria were largely studied. The current view of this phenomenon is that these compounds, by exploiting the Cl− and OH− gradient in energised mitochondria, behave as electroneutral OH−/Cl− exchangers. Experiments performed with triethyltin-, tripropyltin-, and tributyltin-chloride, allow us

Investigations on organotin compounds XVII: The structure of trialkyltin acylates

Recueil Des Travaux Chimiques Des Pays-Bas, 1963
AbstractBy infrared spectroscopy it is shown that trialkyltin acylates in the solid state occur as coordination polymers in which each tin atom is penta‐coordinated, viz. by three alkyl groups and two oxygen atoms belonging to different acylate groups.

Synthesis of mixed trialkyltin compounds via trialkylstannyl derivatives of sulphomaleic and 4-sulphophthalic anhydrides

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1991
Abstract The mixed triorganotin compounds which combine two different trialkyltin moieties (R 3 Sn and R′ 3 Sn) in the same molecule have been synthesized using trialkyltin derivatives of sulphomaleic and 4-sulphophthalic anhydrides as starting materials.
