Ultrafast Laser Synthesis of Zeolites
The study presents a novel ultrafast laser‐driven synthesis technique for zeolites directly in liquid. Laser pulses create a microscopic reactor that controls reaction kinetics at femto‐ and picosecond timescales. Nonlinear light‐matter interactions drive nucleation and growth, allowing the process to be paused at any stage of self‐assembly.

A Variational Principle for Improving 2D Triangle Meshes based on Hyperbolic Volume [PDF]
In this paper, we consider the problem of improving 2D triangle meshes tessellating planar regions. We propose a new variational principle for improving 2D triangle meshes where the energy functional is a convex function over the angle structures whose maximizer is unique and consists only of equilateral triangles.

Application of interpolation finite element methods to a real 3D leaf data
In this paper we proposed a new surface fitting method based on combining the Clough-Tocher method (CT) and multiquadric radial basis function enhanced with a cubic polynomial (MRBFC) method to accurately reconstruct a real leaf surface from 3D scattered

Mechanochromic hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) integrated with microfluidic devices creates scalable, eco‐friendly reflective color displays. We demonstrate mechanochromic displays with 500 µm pixel size and 5Hz switching rates with room for optimisation. The proposed mechanochromic HPC displays are an initial step toward more environmentally responsible

Multigrid for refined triangle meshes [PDF]
A two-level preconditioning method for the solution of (locally) refined finite element schemes using triangle meshes is introduced. In the isotropic SPD case, it is shown that the condition number of the preconditioned stiffness matrix is bounded uniformly for all sufficiently regular triangulations.

Micro‐ and Nano‐Bots for Infection Control
This review presents a strategic vision for integrating micro‐ and nanobots in the pipeline for infection diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. To develop these robots as a practical solution for infection management, their design principles are clarified based on their propulsion mechanisms and then categorized infection management domains based on ...

An Interface Tracking Method with Triangle Edge Cuts [PDF]
This paper introduces a volume-conserving interface tracking algorithm on unstructured triangle meshes. We propose to discretize the interface via triangle edge cuts which represent the intersections between the interface and the triangle mesh edges using a compact 6 numbers per triangle.

MULTI-TEXTURING 3D MODELS: HOW TO CHOOSE THE BEST TEXTURE? [PDF]
International audienceIn this article, the impact of 2D based approaches for multi-texturing 3D models using real images is studied. While conventional 3D based approaches assign the best texture for each mesh triangle according to geometric criteria ...

The sidechain doped polymer is investigated to have great potential for pressure detection due to the advantages including molecular rearrangement and charge‐density perturbance induced by micro‐mechanical deformation. This sensor displayed low‐pressure detection limit of 0.7 Pa as well as a rapid response time of 18.8 ms, enabling multi‐mode motion ...
